Experience

Starting her career as a Desktop C++ Software developer in the late 1990s Kate developed Debenture Management Software for a number of merchant banks in New Zealand and Australia. She was Architect, Analyst, Developer, Project Manager and Support Engineer on this project which ran successfully for ten years.

During this time she also founded Deep Fried Productions Ltd with Chris Brown, and wrote bespoke CMS web applications for a range of customers in New Zealand and overseas. She was contracted by design agencies and NZ government departments to develop web applications, marketing sites and visually interactive data displays.

Seeing how poorly some of the digital work she was contracted to work on was being set up, Kate shifted her focus to pre-development setup for digital delivery teams. She took on technical and delivery leadership roles, working on delivery process and growing digital teams.

As Technical Director at Clemenger BBDO, Kate established a suite of delivery processes to enable support and development for a suite of customer projects.

Kate’s pragmatic and logical approach to technical challenges, her dedication to best practice and her ability to clarify complicated technical challenges to non-technical audiences make her a strong ally to any business navigating digital challenges.
